part score and make 10 tricks in H you score \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">+170\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0. \u00a0If you make 9 tricks you score \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">+140<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Assume both sides make 10 tricks, but only one side bids the game. \u00a0That side wins \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">10\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0IMPS.<\/p>\n<p>Assume both sides make 9 tricks, but only one side bids the game. \u00a0That side loses<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0\u00a06\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>IMPS.<\/p>\n<p>You should bid a vulnerable game if you have about a\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> 40\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>% chance or it.<\/p>\n<h2>Situation: \u00a0Doubling them Into Game<\/h2>\n<p>Suppose you are trying to decide whether or not to\u00a0double their part score contract (assume 3H), where they will make a game if they make the contract.<\/p>\n<p>If you set them 1 trick and they are vulnerable\u00a0you score<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> +200\u00a0<\/span>. \u00a0Set them two tricks and you score<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0+500\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>If they make the contract you score <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0-730 <\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Assume you double the opponents in 3H while your teammates play the same contract undoubled, making the same number of tricks.<\/p>\n<p>If you beat it two tricks vulnerable while your teammates go down 2 undoubled, you win<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0\u00a07\u00a0\u00a0I<\/span>MPS.<\/p>\n<p>If you beat it one trick while your teammates go down 1, you win<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0 3\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>IMPs.<\/p>\n<p>If they make it doubled while your teammates make it undoubled, you lose<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0\u00a011\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>IMPs.<\/p>\n<p>Bottom line: \u00a0Don\u2019t double if you\u2019re just trying for a one trick
